A Frozen II Birthday

Updated: Feb 9, 2022

Happy February, Friends!

My tiny Pearl is turning 2 this week and we celebrated with family this past weekend. In the months before her birthday, Pearl had become OBSESSED with "girl" (Elsa). She pretty much yells non-stop,"GIRL! GIRL! GIRL!" Knowing instantly she would love a Frozen birthday party and with the perfectly timed release of Frozen II, I present to you: Pearl II.

For my parties, I always like to create a focal point and most of the time that is a main head table where all the yummy treats are.

I wanted to create a grand backdrop and one of those of balloon garlands was just the ticket. I see these big sweeping balloon garlands floating all over Pinterest and they are so dreamy. Unbeknownst to me, you can purchase a whole kit on Amazon. I ordered this balloon kit for $15.99 and it came with everything I needed, EXCEPT a way to hang it from the wall. This particular kit came with 110 balloons in various blues, silver, and white sizes, balloon arch plastic holder, flower clips (if you wanted to make balloon flowers), balloon tape for filling in the holes, and ribbon. They said to just use the ribbon to hang it to the wall, but our wall won't hold up this weight by just taping the ribbon to our wall. We purchased some command hooks to hang the ribbon on and that worked perfectly.

The backdrop is just 2 fringe curtains, meant for doorways, side by side.

Olaf of course, sporting some Pearls.

For the food, we picked up some pastry trays from Sam's Club and some fruit and Chicken Mini's from Chick-Fil-A, which never disappoints.

I found this beautiful cheesecake topped with berries at Sam's Club and wanted to mirror that look with tiny yogurt parfaits. I purchased the tiny bowls at the Dollar Tree (5 for $1) along with the spoons. I was trying to find mini spoons but once I opened what appeared to be regular spoons at the Dollar Tree, they were actually quite small and worked perfectly.

And now for the best part of the party:

I laughed a little TOO hard at myself when I created this in Canva. Once I found the Frozen font online for free, I knew I had to make it. I printed it at my local Office Depot, paid extra to have it laminated, and I'm sure my tiny Pearl will be SO EXCITED to hang this in her home when she's an adult and think back to how crazy her mother is.

My BIG 2 year old! Whipping her Elsa braid around in her hand. Ha!

The tablecloths I already owned but purchased around Christmas time a few years ago.

We love our big Pearl girl! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. Heres the link to her nursery if you missed it!
